- I have 4-5 hours each week to dedicate to participating in the course and completing the learning activities.
- I feel comfortable expressing my ideas and questions in conversation and in writing, and have successfully done so using email, discussion boards, and/or social media in the past.
- I have the technology, such as a reliable computer and Internet access and a camera that records video, necessary to participate in an online course.
- With guidance, I am willing to try to learn new technologies and I understand how to read and follow technical instructions to accomplish new tasks.
All of our workshops and courses are delivered live online and begin and end promptly at indicated times. Start times and duration of all workshops and courses are indicated upon registration and our start times are scheduled in Eastern Standard Time. In person participation is required and recordings of these sessions are not available.
While we do understand that life happens and being late is unavoidable occasionally, we highly encourage all participants to log in a few minutes before start time for every class. All sessions will begin promptly at the time indicated. If you log in late, the instructor will admit you at an appropriate point in the lesson.
If you know prior to the class that you will be late, please contact your instructor to let them know. Depending on the class plan and group learning activities, we may need to provide you with learning materials before class or ask you to join the session at a specific time.
We highly encourage you to attend every session. Because of the hands-on and interactive design of our workshops and courses, you will miss out on a significant learning opportunity by not attending. If you miss a session, please contact your instructor to let them know. We will do our best to provide supplemental learning materials for the content you miss. We can also ask for volunteers to repeat the group learning activities with you. If a private session is necessary to make up the missed session, our regular hourly rates will apply.
While we may record some segments of the session, our workshops and courses are designed to be hands-on and interactive. We do not provide recordings of our sessions to be watched at a later time. If you are unable to attend a workshop you have enrolled in, we will be happy to arrange for you to attend a future workshop.
